Wait, I have to READ it?

Right now my students are taking notes on sources for their research papers. This is apparently the hardest thing they have ever done in their lives. It is made all the more difficult because I actually expect them to gasp read the sources, then choose quotations, then write commentary about them in their notes. “What’s commentary?” sigh we have only been doing this ALL YEAR. Lather. Rinse. Repeat.
